The antiSHOCK Tool Lanyard is an innovation for arborists developed by TEUFELBERGER. It is a versatile lanyard for various tree care tools. What makes this lanyard for tools so special is how it absorbs forces. In the event that more than 220 – 240 daN act on the lanyard – for example, if your saw gets stuck in a branch you are trying to cut off – the tear webbing will be activated. This reduces the force that acts on the harness, the fall protection system, and the anchor point of the climber to 150 - 180 daN. Thus, our antiSHOCK Tool Lanyard helps prevent injuries. Functionality of the tear webbing: The webbing is torn open until the impact force has been absorbed. If the saw does not come unstuck again, for example, the webbing will tear open completely after 70 cm, and the tool will drop to the ground. Due to a special pretreatment of the yarns, the elastic webbing is exceptionally abrasion resistant. The Glide Rope Grab is a cam based horizontal and vertical work positioning lanyard adjuster. It features an intuitive, one-handed operation with a responsive rope payout and take up. The smooth, non-aggressive clutch is adjustable under load, with virtually no sit-back during use. Detailed description
- Easy to use: the fine adjustment system allows length to be precisely adjusted for comfortable positioning at a work station
- Can be used in two ways: - double mode (on the harness side attachment points) when the user works with weight on his/her feet. This type of attachment ensures better load distribution on the belt. Length is adjusted by pressing on the pivoting cam - single mode, on the harness ventral attachment point, when the anchor is located above the user, so that the load is comfortably distributed between the belt and leg loops. Length is adjusted by operating the handle, while holding the free end of the lanyard
- Sewn terminations on both ends with plastic sheath to keep the connector in position and protect the rope from abrasion
- Protective sheath protects the rope from abrasive contact and enhances rope glide. This protection can be removed for single mode use, to bring the user closer to the anchor
